Pierre Bayle is retired after a long career as a journalist. He have been working for Agence France Presse in several parts of the world, namely in the Middle East. There he learned Arabic language. He was a special correspondent for Agence France Presse to cover the Gulf War and the French Operation Daguet. A war reporter. He adores sailing.
During numerous trips to the western part of the Amazon forest, he met various communities such as the Huaorani, the Sapara, the Shuar and the Achuar. He fell in love with this Achuar community, returning four times, and committed himself to making them known to those who want to discover the soul of the forest.
